I believe that not many people bring their own cloth bag from home to use. People who care deeply about environment will tell you that plastic bags have negative impacts to our planet.

Plastic bags are not biodegradable. It can take hundreds, if not thousands, of years to biodegrade. This means plastic bags that gets thrown away will stick around for many generations, taking up precious space in landfills and polluting the environment such as our oceans. Over the next ten years, the amount of marine plastic waste will double and if we do not act, in 2050 the oceans will contain more plastic waste than fish by weight.

If you look around, plastic is everywhere. It is probably impossible to totally eliminate plastic from our lives, but we should reduce the amount of plastic we use. For example, at the grocery store, we can bring our own reusable shopping bag.

Food waste is a very serious issue in the world. Most people don't realize how often they waste food and the negative impacts it can have for food security, the environment, and climate change. Therefore, in my opinion, food waste is bad for some reasons.

First, food waste can cause climate change. When thrown into landfill, food waste produces a large amount of methane. As food rots and degrades, it emits these harmful gases. These gases are more harmful than carbon dioxide in terms of trapping heat in the atmosphere.

Second, food waste represents a great waste of freshwater and ground water resources. We use a lot of water when producing food. If we throw away food, we were wasting water.

Lastly, food waste has an effect on society. While we were throwing food out, many people around the world have limited access to food. Wasting food raises social questions, particularly given the current global financial crisis, rising food prices and international food shortages.

From those reasons, it can be concluded that wasting food has negative impacts on climate, water, and society.
