He literally asked me to open his WhatsApp.

And for the first time in years, I opened his archived messages.. just out of instinct.

I had that instinct for a while.. but I never checked.

I don't even know why. Maybe because I wanted to trust him.

But in Allah's way.. I was shown everything tonight.

There it was. A text with a co-worker :-)

This person also has a boyfriend, but cheated on him too.. not my business.

To be honest, for the past few months, I've been preparing myself to become a better partner for him.

Even just two nights ago, we were talking about parenting styles :-)

And today.. Allah gave me way out.

He always he wasn't brave enough to talk about marriage with me because it's something sacred.

That he'd only propose when he was ready.

But he said all that to a co-worker he'd only felt "comfortable" with for the past four months.

It hurts.. but I know I'll be okay.

Not because I'm unbothered, but because I'm learning to stand tall even when I feel small.

I'm not as weak as I feared, but I'm not pretending I'm not hurt either.

This is just a chapter.. not the whole story.
