I believe that not many people bring their own cloth bag from home to use. People who care deeply about environment will tell you that plastic bags have negative impacts to our planet.

Plastic bags are not biodegradable. It can take hundreds, if not thousands, of years to biodegrade. This means plastic bags that gets thrown away will stick around for many generations, taking up precious space in landfills and polluting the environment such as our oceans. Over the next ten years, the amount of marine plastic waste will double and if we do not act, in 2050 the oceans will contain more plastic waste than fish by weight.

If you look around, plastic is everywhere. It is probably impossible to totally eliminate plastic from our lives, but we should reduce the amount of plastic we use. For example, at the grocery store, we can bring our own reusable shopping bag.
